The position leads a portfolio of research development across Sunshine Coast Health, including engaging and partnering with clinician-researchers across the Health Service, and their external research collaborators when required.
Key Responsibilities include:
Lead the portfolio of Research Development within the RGDU team, partnering across the health service, that delivers on the following outcomes:
Enhances research proposal quality, streamlining Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) and Site-Specific Application (SSA) approvals
Expedites navigation of research ethics and governance pathways, improving experience and efficiency for researchers
Grows researcher capability and capacity in initiating and undertaking quality research across the organisation
Provide high-level expert advice to Sunshine Coast Health researchers, and their external research collaborators, to efficiently and successfully navigate research approval processes, including HREC and SSA approval processes, particularly through:
Mentoring and expert feedback for researchers to develop high quality research proposals and associated HREC and SSA approval applications, which comply with regulatory standards and internal policies and procedures.
Partner with researchers to provide high-level expert guidance regarding research methodology, data management, safety, privacy, funding, budgeting, and any other requirements relevant to research projects.
Lead the development and delivery of a suite of research education programs, seminars, guidance documents and support tools to develop research knowledge and skills among Sunshine Coast Health staff.
Remuneration based pro rata on equivalent full time value up to $91 663 p.a., comprising salary rates: $62.61 - $67.53 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (PO4) (Fixed Term temporary part time position available for up to 12 months, 45.6 hrs p.f.).
