About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Trainee Accountant to join our high‐performing Accounting & Administration team on a part‐time basis (3 – 4 days pending availability) based in Hamilton, Newcastle.
This role is ideal for someone looking to build a strong foundation in accounting within a fast‐paced, dynamic environment. You'll be supported by an experienced team, gain exposure across a broad range of finance functions, and be encouraged to take ownership of your development as you grow your technical skillset.

Key Responsibilities
Your day‐to‐day will include (but won't be limited to):
* Processing of manufacturer invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment in line with agreed terms
* Monthly reconciliation of manufacturer statements, including investigation and resolution of variances
* Processing daily floorplan payments, completed accurately and on time
* Assist with month‐end processing and reconciling of general ledger accounts
* Building strong relationships with internal teams to ensure a smooth
About You
You'll be someone who takes ownership of their work and enjoys being part of a collaborative team, additionally:
* Studying Accounting or Commerce Degree (around 18 months completed ideal)
* Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office
* Strong attention to detail and problem‐solving skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* A proactive and positive attitude with a genuine interest in developing an accounting career
Highly Regarded
While not essential, the following will set you apart:
* Practical experience in accounting
* Experience within the motor industry
