Sunrise Supported Living are looking for a fixed term contract Administration Officer & Receptionist to join our team based at the Sunrise Village Tuncurry. The successful candidate will become the first point of contact for our business, welcoming visitors, guests, and residents, as well as transferring calls and taking messages. You’ll have an administration background, be a confident and clear communicator with strong organisational skills and a high attention to detail. What is Sunrise Supported Living?
The Sunrise Village is a 106-unit Retirement Village focused on promoting independence and giving older people a fantastic community to live in. Residents can prepare their own meals at home or come and join us in the Village dining room to share a meal with friends. We also have a full social calendar of activities, host events, and are part of the wider community. Residents have access to 24/7 Emergency support on site and can access care in the privacy of their own home.

What will I be doing?
- Assist with projects that arise when directed by the Village Manager, utilizing Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
- Provide a highly competent level of administration support to Village Management
- Accept responsibility for being point of contact for walk-in clients and enquiries, dealing with these in a friendly and professional manner. Including attending to the hospitality needs of visitors.
- Answering incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring the call is answered promptly.
- Maintain the office message system, ensuring that all staff receive messages without undue delay.
- Collection and dissemination of incoming mail, both external and internal, and courier deliveries.
Knowledge & skills:
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, particularly with MS Office
- Proven administration skills with solid attention to detail
- High Level of confidentiality
- Commercial acumen
Qualifications and experience:
- Previous experience in similar administrative role
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage projects and meet multiple deadlines.
- Have a pleasant, mature attitude and a proven excellent customer service ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and achieve set goals with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility with hours when workloads demand
- Full Police Clearance

- 38 hours per week
- Fixed term contract of 6 months - commencing January 2026
