Fleet Support Lead Engineer – Control Systems
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Support Lead Engineer – Control Systems to serve as the subject matter expert for the operation of new piling machines in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
* Advanced fault finding across machine control and hydraulic systems, and finding solutions in challenging environments under time pressure.
* Being a visible Safety Leader, proactively improving the welfare of personnel interacting with the business.
* Taking responsibility for machine control performance in the field and being the subject matter expert on machine operation.
* Participating in field trials, performing daily maintenance, calibrating, and verifying machine performance.
* Attending testing sites and addressing mechanical failures.
* Reviewing machine performance logs and collaborating with R&D on new software versions.
* Managing mechanical service partners and handling work orders and parts requests.
* Localizing training content for the Australian market.
Requirements:
* A background as a Heavy Machine Controls Technical/Engineer, Fleet Manager, or Team Leader is highly regarded.
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels.
* Proven experience in developing and managing relationships.
* Experience with heavy diesel machinery and associated hydraulic and electronic control systems (GNSS, GPS), specifically Stonex and IFM.
* Advanced fault-finding skills in machine control systems.
* Interest in mechanical machinery and control systems.
* Experience within the materials supply and construction industry is preferred.
* Experience within a business excellence environment is advantageous.
* Excellent written communication skills.
* Willingness to travel to remote sites.
* Australian citizenship or Permanent Residency.
