Caseworker Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Caseworker to join our team in the Murrumbidgee District. As a key member of our casework team, you will work sensitively and respectfully with parents, family members, children or young people to ensure their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
* Work collaboratively with other agencies and engage in complex problem solving to develop effective safety plans and complete thorough risk assessments.
* Manage cases and situations, including working with clients who require high levels of support and those at risk.
* Be involved in court processes, including the preparation of necessary documents and attendance at court proceedings.
* Participate in regular supervision sessions to maintain expertise and share knowledge with colleagues.
Essential Requirements
* A relevant diploma or degree qualification is preferred; applicants without a relevant qualification should have at least two years' experience working with vulnerable children, young people and their families.
* The ability to build positive working relationships, supported by excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
* A valid driver's licence.
* A current working with children clearance number.
* Documented verification of Aboriginality confirming your status as an Aboriginal person of Aboriginal descent.
