Singleton Heights Pre-School Inc. is looking for an enthusiastic Administrative/Financial Officer, ready to work with a team to complete the diverse administrative tasks required in an Early Childhood service and enjoy a successful partnership with families. This part-time position will commence as soon as possible with the hours of employment being 8:30am-4pm each Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
During the first weeks there may be additional hours for orientation and training.
Singleton Heights Pre-School Inc. is a community based, not-for-profit, 4 room Pre-School service, governed by a volunteer Management Committee made up of interested parents and community people. We are currently licenced for 80 children per day, aged 3 - 6 years and have a staff of over 30 employees.

QUALIFICATIONS:
· Qualifications in Business or Office administration
· Minimum 3 years' experience in an administration/finance role
EXPERIENCE:
· Experience in payroll processes and superannuation requirements, working across multiple awards and maintaining long service leave entitlement records.
· Experience using MYOB including reconciliation of MYOB accounts, preparing financial reports and finalising monthly BAS and ATO reporting requirements.
· Experience working within an annual budget, monthly cost reporting, end of year audit preparation and financial modelling
· Experience with IT troubleshooting
· Knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety
· Prior experience working in administration in a community organisation will be highly regarded
CAPABILITIES:
· Ability to work within and follow policies and procedures
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, supporting liaison with relevant government agencies, funding bodies, support services, professional services, debtors, creditors, schools, and others as necessary
· Demonstrated ability to work within a team
· Genuine respect for children and families and an ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds and those experiencing vulnerability and hardship
· Confidence to deal with difficult conversations
· Willingness to work closely with the service Director, team of Educators and a volunteer Management Committee
· Willingness to develop a foundation knowledge of Early Childhood Services regulatory compliance, National Quality Standards, Child Safe Standards, the National Model Code. And Child Protection processes
· Being prepared to engage in training related to child safety and others as required
· Availability to work during school holidays (with flexible work arrangements)
· Attend Management Committee and other meetings outside normal hours, as necessary
