About the Opportunity
Our client is a well-established and specialist consultancy with a strong reputation in the traffic and transport sector. They are seeking a dedicated Traffic Engineer to work on a wide variety of exciting projects, from large-scale residential and commercial developments to significant public infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Traffic Impact Assessments (TIAs): Prepare and assist with Traffic Impact Assessments for a variety of land use developments.
- Modelling & Analysis: Conduct traffic and transport modelling using industry-standard software (e.g., SIDRA Intersection, VISSIM).
- Design & Strategy: Contribute to the design of road networks, intersections, and car parks, and assist in developing transport strategies.
- Data Collection & Analysis: Undertake site inspections and traffic data collection, and analyse information to inform project outcomes.
- Report Writing: Prepare professional and transparent technical reports and advice for clients and government authorities.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication: Assist in liaising with clients, architects, planners, and local councils to progress projects.
About You
- You have a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Transport Engineering, or a related field.
- You possess 2-4 years of professional experience in traffic engineering within a consultancy or government environment.
- You have a solid understanding of Australian and Victorian transport policies, guidelines, and standards.
- You are proficient in the use of SIDRA Intersection and have experience with other relevant software.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
- You are a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a strong desire to learn and grow within the industry.
