Fraser Coast Tourism & Events is a destination marketing and events company operating in the pristine water playground of the Great Sandy Marine Park, protected by the largest sand island in the world, K'gari (Fraser Island), located only 3‑4 hours' drive for 70% of Queensland's population living in the south‑east corner of the State, and linked by direct flights to all east coast capital cities.
You will be based in Hervey Bay, joining a team passionate about making a difference and telling the remarkable stories that set the Fraser Coast apart as a tourism destination.
A career resume with experience in business development, partnership management or tourism/hospitality industry roles, with demonstrated success in achieving sales targets, will put you on the shortlist for interview.
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be confident in delivering multiple projects to the deadlines you set. Skills in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems (including the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse) and database management tools will be a decided advantage.
Currently the Fraser Coast receives more than 1.5m visitors each year who spend more than $690m on accommodation, tours and leisure activities.This is your opportunity to make a major contribution in a dynamic industry in one of the best locations on Australia's east coast.

Fraser Coast Tourism & Events Ltd is a not‑for‑profit destination marketing and events company with offices in Hervey Bay and Maryborough, charged with growing the tourism economy through product development and marketing, engaging with domestic and international consumers, trade suppliers, media outlets and businesses. We work with more than 130 local business partners, including tour operators, accommodation providers, restaurants, attractions, hire and charter suppliers and retail businesses. We are one of 13 Regional Tourism Organisations in Queensland and partner with the Fraser Coast Regional Council and Tourism & Events Queensland.
SKILLS YOU WILL BRING
* Product development experience (preferably tourism) and a strong understanding of the issues impacting regional Queensland;
* Success in previous roles achieving commercial objectives with high levels of client and stakeholder satisfaction;
* Knowledge and experience working in a membership‑based organisation, including stakeholder engagement, member acquisition and retention;
* A record of achieving sales goals;
* Time management and administrative skills, including business case development and report writing;
* Highly developed interpersonal and customer service skills, dealing with a variety of clients and stakeholders, and success in working as a member of a team;
* Computer and database management skills (Microsoft 365 suite), including knowledge of customer relationship management systems (Australian Tourism Data Warehouse and tourism industry booking systems preferred).
