Our client, an Australian Federal department responsible for foreign policy and international relations, based in Parkes, ACT, requires the services of two technical writers for a month contracts.
Duties of the Technical Writers:
* Develop from scratch, and/or reverse re-engineer existing high-level design documentation.
* Creating, editing and maintaining high-quality documentation related to projects, products, or processes.
* Gather technical information and ensure accuracy in documentation.
* Develop communication plans and materials to support organisational change and user adoption initiatives.
* Align documentation deliverables with project/program milestones.
* Ensure WCAG compliance is user-focused.
* Maintain version control and organise documentation repositories.
* Documenting system configurations, business processes, and change management workflows.
* Conduct regular reviews of technical content to ensure alignment with evolving policies processes, and systems.
Skills and Experience - Technical Writers:
Essential criteria
* Proven technical writing experience.
* Collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
* Attention to detail and quality.
* Knowledge of government policies and standards.
* Experience in organisational change.
* User-centred design knowledge.
* Process improvement.
* Technical aptitude.
