We are currently recruiting on behalf of a highly respected secondary school in Chadstone, Victoria. This school is seeking a dedicated and passionate English and Humanities teacher to join their collaborative faculty. This is a full-time, ongoing position with a start date in October 2025.
The Role
You will be responsible for providing engaging and dynamic lessons to students in Years 7-9. The school is looking for a teacher who can foster a love of learning and critical thinking in a supportive classroom environment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and delivering engaging lessons in English and Humanities, adhering to the Victorian Curriculum.
* Assessing student work and providing meaningful feedback to support academic growth.
* Collaborating with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum and teaching strategies.
* Actively contributing to the school's vibrant co-curricular program and community life.
About You
The successful candidate will be a compassionate and innovative teacher with a strong command of their subject areas. You must be registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) or be eligible to obtain registration.
Essential criteria:
* Current VIT registration.
* Demonstrated experience teaching English and Humanities at the junior secondary level (Years 7-9).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
* A commitment to student wellbeing and a positive approach to classroom management.
