Job Overview:
The Blast Crew is responsible for undertaking physically demanding work, establishing exclusion zones with appropriate signage, and following instructions on the blast site from the shotfirer and/or supervisor.
Key responsibilities include ensuring site and equipment cleanliness, upholding safety standards in the designated area, and performing any other duties required by a supervisor/manager.
* Key Responsibilities:
o Engage in physically demanding work
o Establish exclusion zones with appropriate signage
o Follow all instructions on the blast site
o Maintain site and equipment cleanliness
o Uphold Impact's safety culture and standards
o Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
* Hold an Australian Open Class manual driver's license
* Be proficient in using computers and operating systems
* Have physical agility to undertake extended periods of walking, carrying, and bending
* Possess exceptional communication and collaboration skills
* Be willing and able to pass a national police check
* Successfully complete a medical and Drug & Alcohol assessment
* Desirable experience in the quarry or mining industry
