Commercial Support Specialist
The Commercial Support Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the Navy Aviation Systems Program Office (NASPO) by providing commercial expertise and advice to stakeholders. This position is an integral part of the Commercial Management Section (CMS), which provides commercial support to NASPO, the Romeo Enterprise Office (REO), and the Fleet Air Arm (FAA).
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Contribute to procurement and contract management activities while ensuring compliance with legislation and policy.
* Assist in preparing contracting correspondence and documentation.
* Provide advice on procurement, legal, and financial issues.
* Understand Commonwealth Procurement Rules and other relevant legislation and policies.
* Build and sustain productive relationships with stakeholders from various backgrounds.
* Assess commercially relevant risks and support mitigation strategies.
* Prepare schedules for recurring contracting activities.
Eligibility for Additional Remuneration Benefit:
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known as the Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCN). This enables Defence to provide a premium in addition to the base salary payable under the Defence Enterprise Collective Agreement (DECA) for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications critical to Defence capability.
