About the role
We are looking for an experienced Pool Service Technician to join our team at Jim's Pool Care Mt Sheridan in Cairns, Queensland. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for providing expert pool maintenance and repair services to our residential and commercial clients. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of swimming pools across the Cairns region.
What you'll be doing
* Performing regular pool cleaning, chemical testing and adjustments
* Identifying and rectifying pool equipment issues and malfunctions
* Carrying out pool equipment repairs and installations
* Providing excellent customer service and communicating effectively with clients
* Accurately documenting all work completed and materials used
* Adhering to all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
What we're looking for
* Relevant qualifications and experience: At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience as a pool technician or in a similar role within the trades and services industry
* Technical expertise: Strong understanding of pool chemistry, mechanical systems and the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment problems
* Customer focus: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with clients
* Commitment to safety: Demonstrated ability to work safely and in compliance with industry regulations and standards
* Reliability and flexibility: Flexible schedule to accommodate client needs, and a reliable, punctual and organised approach to work
