Description
We're looking for an enthusiastic and skilled
Events and Activations Officer
to join our Community Impact & Innovation team. In this role, you will help plan, coordinate, and deliver Council's events and activations in line with our Events and Activation Plan.
You'll play a key part in creating high-impact, inclusive programs that foster community engagement, celebrate cultural diversity and bring our public spaces to life. From logistics and risk management through to stakeholder engagement and promotions, you'll ensure every event is delivered with excellence and aligns with Council's strategic goals.
What You'll Be Doing
* Plan, coordinate and deliver Council events and activations that are safe, engaging, inclusive and community-focused.
* Manage end-to-end event logistics, including contracts, suppliers, volunteers and onsite delivery.
* Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support collaborative event outcomes.
* Prepare high-quality briefs, reports and promotional content.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Council policies and safety requirements.
* Contribute to continuous improvement, innovation and customer-centric service delivery.
* Support a child-safe, values-driven, inclusive and safe workplace.

What You'll Bring
Qualifications & Checks
* Tertiary qualifications in Events, PR, Marketing or related field, or equivalent experience.
* NSW Driver's Licence, Working with Children Check and current First Aid Certificate.
Experience
* At least 2 years' experience delivering large-scale events in government, corporate, or agency settings.
* Strong background in event planning, budgeting, stakeholder engagement and evaluation.
* Skilled in preparing professional communications and coordinating contractors/volunteers.
* Solid understanding of event risk management, safety practices and local government procedures.

* Package:$82,602 - $87,556 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
* Hours of work:Full Time.You will have the option of a 19 day month through Council's flex system.
