Position Information
Jerrabomberra High School is a new high school opening in 2023, expected to enrol 420 students by 2026. It is a co‐educational, inclusive school located on the border of NSW and the ACT. The curriculum is inquiry and project‐based and encourages students to co‐design their learning journey.
Responsibilities
• Teach personal development, health and physical education.
• Collaborate, develop and deliver high‐quality teaching and learning programs.
• Design and implement innovative assessment strategies and evidence improvement in learning growth.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Full approval to teach personal development, health & physical education, or willingness to retrain through further study or on‐the‐job experience supported by the NSW Department of Education.
• Proven capacity to collaborate and build relationships with staff and students.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Unconditional full approval to teach is required; if not held, must commence application concurrently with this opportunity.
• WWCC clearance number must be included in the application.

An unconditional full approval to teach is mandatory. If you do not hold a full approval, the application process must be started simultaneously.

* The position is permanent, part‐time employment; applicants seeking either permanent full‐time or permanent part‐time work should indicate their desired FTE (up to the maximum FTE advertised).
* The FTE selection is final; no changes will be made at the point of offer if you are the recommended applicant.
* If no FTE is indicated, full FTE of the advertised role will be assumed.
* Any remaining FTE may be offered to other eligible candidates on the merit selection list.
Benefits
Relocation support payment of $5,000 to $8,000 for eligible applicants. The role includes leave loading and employer's superannuation contribution as per the remuneration package.
