Job Summary
The primary purpose of the Refrigeration Technician's role is to conduct installations, repairs and preventative maintenance of marine refrigeration systems.
More specifically:
* Read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematics
* Conduct pressure testing, evacuate, and charge refrigeration systems
* Install refrigeration piping and equipment
* Problem solve, dismantle and repair malfunctioning refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment
* Field running, testing, and commissioning of completed refrigeration systems
* Test, repair and connect wiring to electric power source within electrical license restrictions
* Remain abreast of technological advances within refrigeration
* Provide support in non-refrigeration tasks within capabilities
The Successful Applicant
* Air-conditioning and refrigeration mechanical trade certificate
* Min 3-5 years' experience of marine and commercial refrigeration systems
* Advanced mechanical aptitude
* Self-motivation and enthusiasm
The Rewards
$50 - $55 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications
