We are seeking a highly trained, experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic Child Care Group Leader/ Lead Educator and or Room Assistant Educator to join our dynamic team at Benowa Early Learning Centre. You will be responsible for engaging with children through age-appropriate activities, supporting their daily routines, and ensuring their well-being at all times. Job Type: Permanent Full-time
Location : Benowa Early Learning Centre, 15 Sapium Road, Benowa.
Salary Package: $65,000 - $80,000 Plus Superannuation per annum, depending on Role and Qualifications.
Responsibilities
* Plan and prepare play environments and learning activities & programs based on each child's physical, social, emotional and cognitive development
* Have an in depth and thorough understanding of the Child Safe Standards, the Child Safe and Child protection laws and regulations and be passionate about creating a child safe environment
* Support the implementation of daily routines and ensure children's individual needs are met
* Observe and reflect on children's progress to adjust activities and support their continued development
* Liaise with families, caregivers and colleagues regarding the children – seek to understand the children's needs, interests, motivations, etc and work with other Educators to accommodate for specific needs and interests
* Desire to have a positive impact on children's behaviour and social development with support for children's independence, problem‑solving and social skills
* Lead and train the Child Care Workers to ensure an organised, safe, clean and healthy environment for all children
* Perform First Aid and comfort to children where necessary and complete associated documentation professionally and timely
* Supervise and lead children in all daily activities including play time, reading hour, art projects, snack and lunch time
* Promote children's learning by actively engaging them in age‑appropriate experiences and activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
* Ensure a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment for children's growth and development
* Contribute to team meetings and collaborate on educational programs and assist with documentation and daily administration tasks
* Understand the regulatory requirements listed in the National Regulations and National Quality Standards, with a focus to provide an excellent level of education and care to the children at the centre‑based service

What we are looking for
* Cert 3, Diploma or higher in Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
* Minimum one year of experience in the relevant field
* Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate or willingness to obtain
* Current Child Protection Training Certificate or willingness to obtain
* Sound professional written and verbal communication
* The desire to make a positive contribution to a professional, collaborative and focused team
* A love for children and a desire to make childcare a long‑term career
