Role Overview:
* As a key leader in our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance of operations across one or more open-pit sites.
* You will lead and develop project managers, superintendents, and technical leaders to build succession and talent pipelines.
* Drive production planning and short-interval control to convert plans into tangible results with discipline.
* Oversight of asset strategy includes fleet selection, mobilization, utilization, and availability.
* Ensure critical controls and statutory compliance while championing a safety culture and visible leadership.
* Manage contract delivery and client relationships, anticipating issues and mitigating schedule risks.
* Accountability for budgets, forecasting, and profit-and-loss statements, delivering cost and productivity improvements.
* Enhance performance through fleet management systems, data-driven insights, and continuous improvement.
* Support tenders, pricing, and start-ups to ensure smooth transitions from award to steady state.
Requirements:
* Proven success leading open-pit mining operations in Australia as a contractor or owner-operator.
* Engaging leadership presence with the ability to set direction, coach, mentor, and influence stakeholders.
* Strong grasp of production systems, maintenance strategies, asset reliability, and cost drivers.
* Demonstrated P&L responsibility, budgeting/forecasting, and commercial acumen.
* Known for safety leadership and embedding organizational values.
* Degree qualified in Mining Engineering (or equivalent industry experience).
* Comfortable moving between Perth and sites, decisive, data-driven, and calm under pressure.
