Morgan Consulting is delighted to partner with a leading enterprise organisation to appoint a Procurement Category Manager – IT, responsible for driving strategic procurement outcomes across a complex technology spend portfolio. This role will play a key part in delivering commercial value, strengthening supplier performance, and supporting ongoing digital transformation initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute procurement professional who enjoys operating in a business‐partnering capacity while leading end‐to‐end sourcing activity. Working closely with Technology, Finance, and senior stakeholders, you will translate technical requirements into commercial outcomes, optimise spend, and embed best‐practice procurement across a fast‐paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with stakeholders to understand demand, cost drivers, and technology roadmaps
* Develop and execute category strategies across software, cloud, telecommunications, and services
* Lead end‐to‐end sourcing activity, including negotiations and contract execution
* Drive cost optimisation and commercial outcomes across the IT portfolio
* Manage supplier performance and contract lifecycle activities
* Ensure governance, risk management, and compliance across procurement activity
* Provide market insight and support business case development
About You
* Proven experience in IT procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing
* Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation capability
* Experience across software, cloud, telecommunications, or IT services
* Ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate autonomously
* Track record delivering cost savings and commercial outcomes
* Strategic mindset with hands‐on delivery capability
