The Opportunity
Our client is a specialty distributor and clear market leader within the FMCG sector, supplying a unique product range through strong partnerships with facility management providers and corporate clients across Australia. With a diversified offering and continued national growth, the business remains committed to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining strong operational relationships.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Receivable professional to step into a true leadership and process-ownership role. Managing a team of four, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, uplifting team capability, and strengthening AR processes in a growing and fast-moving environment.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Business Support Manager, your responsibilities will include:
* Leading, coaching and developing a young AR team, fostering strong communication and team culture
* Managing day-to-day AR operations including invoicing, reconciliations, allocations and debtor management
* Acting as the primary escalation point for customer queries and complex accounts
* Supporting the rollout of system efficiencies, change initiatives and continuous improvement across billing and collections
* Establishing KPIs, ensuring compliance to policies and maintaining strong internal controls
* Driving robust analysis including aged debt reporting, DSO performance and month-end AR deliverables
* Collaborating with internal stakeholders to resolve disputes and strengthen customer experience
* Taking full ownership of AR processes while contributing to broader finance improvement initiatives
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest if you possess the following:
* 2+ years' experience in an AR Lead, Senior AR Officer or similar leadership role
* Strong understanding of end-to-end AR functions, debtor management and collections
* Experience managing or mentoring junior staff, with the ability to uplift capability
* Competency across ERP systems (NetSuite advantageous) and a strong appetite for process and system improvement
* Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills - able to confidently influence and drive outcomes within a young team
* Strong analytical capability with high attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-driven approach
