Airefrig Australia is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our head office team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the end-to-end accounts payable function, including invoice processing, supplier payments and query resolution. This is a high-volume, detail-focused role ideal for someone who enjoys working through processes, maintaining accuracy and contributing ideas to improve the way things are done.
Key responsibilities and duties:
* Matching invoices and delivery dockets
* Process a high volume of invoices efficiently and accurately
* Month end reconciliations and payment preparation
* Import and Foreign Currency transactions
* Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary documentation and resolve discrepancies
* Assist in answering the telephone
The successful applicant should possess:
* reconciliation experience is essential
* excellent communication and organisational skills as well as the ability to work with minimum supervision and ability to work as part of a cohesive team
* sound computer literacy in regards to Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
* high attention to detail
* experience in Pronto accounting software preferred but not essential
* problem solving ability
* is keen to learn, develop new skills, techniques, processes and thinking
