The Opportunity: Reporting to the Head of Facilities Engineering Infrastructure, you will oversee the delivery of engineering and maintenance services across multiple healthcare sites, ensuring infrastructure performance supports critical patient care. Initially, on a 12-month fixed-term contract, you will have every potential to contribute and shine with the potential for a longer term thereafter. You will lead contractor management, governance, compliance and operational performance while driving accountability, continuous improvement and risk mitigation across the portfolio. This role requires someone who can think ahead, act decisively and communicate effectively at all levels. Key Responsibilities: You will lead facilities engineering operations across a multi-site portfolio of hospitals, which will entail a mix of in-office and site-based work. This will entail: Managing and coordinating the key partners of facilities and maintenance services Driving KPI delivery, performance management and service excellence across all sites Ensuring compliance with statutory obligations, healthcare standards and governance frameworks Identifying operational risks early and implementing proactive mitigation strategies Leading incident management, escalation response and critical infrastructure resilience planning Building strong relationships with clinical teams, executives, contractors and key stakeholders Overseeing maintenance programs, asset performance and infrastructure reliability Championing continuous improvement, accountability and high-performance culture Supporting capital works, infrastructure upgrades and operational projects as required About You: You are an experienced engineering or technical operations leader who brings energy, urgency and strong commercial acumen to complex environments. You are known for your ability to: Pre-empt issues before they arise Manage multiple sites across large geographical areas Hold contractors and service providers accountable Influence stakeholders at all levels Communicate clearly and decisively Navigate governance, compliance and risk environments with confidence Create high-performing, engaged teams through a service provider model. Skills & Experience: Significant leadership experience within healthcare/critical infrastructure, from a facilities management/engineering perspective Strong contractor and vendor management capability Demonstrated experience managing KPIs, SLAs and operational performance frameworks Sound understanding of governance, risk and compliance obligations Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills Strong problem-solving and strategic planning capability Relevant engineering, facilities management or technical qualifications.
