Drive Cultural Change in Healthcare
Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is seeking a passionate Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Manager as the Aboriginal Suicide Prevention and Aftercare Services Manager.
Join as in this pivotal role as a part of our Towards Zero Suicides initiative and help us to transform healthcare delivery for our community as we are committed to improving the lives of our rapidly growing Indigenous population.
About the Role
Drive transformative change in suicide prevention. As the Service Manager, you will be at the forefront of developing and implementing innovative support services for individuals at risk of suicide and those impacted by suicide. You will collaborate with a network of healthcare professionals, community organizations, and Aboriginal-led initiatives to create a seamless continuum of care.
This role involves:
* Strategic leadership: Overseeing the development and delivery of suicide prevention and aftercare programs.
* Collaboration: Building strong partnerships with hospitals, mental health organizations, and NGOs.
* Service improvement: Enhancing the visibility and accessibility of suicide prevention services.
* Community engagement: Fostering community resilience and support networks.

About You

* Tertiary Qualifications: and/or equivalent work experience in health discipline with demonstrated senior clinical experience and experience supervising clinicians and teams in relation to managing suicidal behaviours.
* Demonstrated Experience in developing, coordinating, redesigning and implementing Aboriginal mental health programs / services that have positive outcomes for the Aboriginal community.
* Leadership Expertise: You bring proven experience in leading and developing multi-discipline teams, fostering collaboration and cohesion to achieve shared goals.
* Innovative Approach: Your track record includes developing innovative and safe patient care initiatives, driving quality improvement through creative solutions and best practices.
* Change Management: You have demonstrated knowledge in initiating and implementing changes to enhance clinical service delivery and outcomes. Your expertise extends to refining models of care, championing evidence-based practices, and fostering continuous practice development.
* Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence.Applicants must have current Australian work rights. We are unable to consider applicants who do not meet this requirement.
