Staff360 is recruiting for an experienced and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join the team on a large-scale farming operation in north-west NSW. This full-time role reports to the Workshop Manager and offers an excellent chance to work with a diverse fleet of farm and heavy machinery.
Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing, and breakdown repairs on farm machinery, heavy vehicles, and pumps.
Diagnose and repair faults in diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and related systems.
Dismantle, repair, and reassemble engines and components according to technical specifications.
Undertake welding, fabrication, and workshop-based repairs.
Maintain service records and ensure compliance with OH&S; requirements.
Assist with workshop stock control and ordering of parts.
Support and coach other team members where required.
Machinery & Equipment
John Deere tractors & spray rigs
Excavators, graders, trucks & trailers
Farm utilities and light vehicles
Pumps, small engines & irrigation equipment
Planters, air seeders, spreaders, cultivation gear, chaser bins
Candidate Requirements
Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Diesel Fitter, or equivalent.
Demonstrated experience with agricultural, diesel, or heavy machinery.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Current driver’s licence essential.
