The Job Opportunity
This is an exciting chance for an experienced Legal Assistant to work in our Public Law team based in Melbourne.
Responsibilities include day-to-day administration and the following:
* Opening and closing files;
* Completing client billing and reports;
* Answering phone calls and assisting with matter enquiries;
* Scheduling appointments, court events and diary management;
* Preparation and reconciliation of expenses;
* Organising events and functions; and
* Other administrative support required by solicitors.
Key Skills and Qualifications
You will have a professional approach and excellent organisational and communication skills, with a client service focus.
You will be proficient in Word and Excel and have capabilities in PowerPoint.
You will have the ability to prioritise tasks, display initiative, have good attention to detail, and a proven history of meeting deadlines.
A 'can-do' attitude is essential.
