A small, friendly team, all with a hands-on, can-do approach to work ABOUT THE ROLE An Import Seafreight Operator role within a small freight forwarder. Hands-on role, touching files from docs through to delivery. Initially working in a support role to the operations, this role will be exposed to all elements of the import process. DUTIES • Chase documents from shippers, agents and local clients • Registration of import seafreight files, send sea cargo and monitor transhipments • Ensure shipment files are passed onto Customs and Transport complete and on time • Arrange with cartage with transport providers • Costing and invoicing out files SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • 1-2 year minimum experience in a small forwarder environment • Previous experience costing and invoicing out jobs • Exposure to working in a team environment • Further education within International Logistics or Supply Chain a bonus • Strong computer skills COMPANY CULTURE Intimate small team environment with scope to be cross-trained in all elements of the forwarding process.
