As the Theatre Wardsperson / Operations Assistant, casual opportunities are available for motivated individuals to join our Perioperative Service.
About Maitland Private Hospital
Maitland Private Hospital is the region's private hospital, delivering positive patient experiences with a dedicated team of specialists, doctors and nurses. The hospital provides patient‐centred care, state‐of‐the‐art medical technology, and a warm environment for patients and families. It has 185 beds, 6 operating theatres, 10 bed ICU, rehabilitation, medical and surgical Wards, and services including a cancer centre, radiology practice and pathology laboratory. Healthe Care is the parent group.
Responsibilities
* Support perioperative services as a Wardsperson and participate in general theatre and operational tasks as required.
* Work in a casual, motivated, friendly, dynamic and supportive team environment.
Essential criteria / Qualifications
* Current Working with Children Check and Police Check.
* Australian permanent resident status or equivalent work rights.
* Strong collaborative interpersonal skills with well-developed verbal and written communication.
* Commitment to customer service and quality improvement.
* Reliable with good work ethic and time management.
* Ability to work shift work, on-call and overtime as required.
* Commitment to privacy and confidentiality.
* Demonstrated experience in a Wardsperson role.
* Sound understanding of safe work practices.
* Immunisation evidence and serology in accordance with NSW Health.
* Experience within a private hospital setting and/or understanding of private hospital landscape.
