About the role
Churches of Christ Queensland are currently seeking a Full Time Senior Home care Worker for our Home Care Darling & Southern Downs. The service that we provide at Home Care Darling & Southern Downs is support at home, personal care and domestic support, nursing care, allied health support, after hospital care, respite care, social support and transport. You will also be provided with a company vehicle, laptop and work phone.
As a Senior Home Care Worker, you will:
* Provide personal care assistance to clients for example showering, dressing and toileting
* Assist with medications
* Assist with household tasks such as light cleaning, meal preparation, and shopping.
* Support clients with transport to appointments and community activities.
* Participate in the review of client care plans, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate
* Train and mentor Home Care Workers
What we're looking for
Are you somebody who is passionate about delivering quality Home Care services to the local community? Providing personalised assistance to clients, helping them maintain their independence and enhancing their quality of life within their chosen community.
Our ideal candidate
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a direct care role
* Currently holds the below qualifications
o Certificate III in Individual Support or higher
o Assist Clients with Medication - HLTHPS006
o Recognise Healthy Body Systems - HLTAAP001
o Provide Individualised Support - CHCCCS031
* Currently holds, or willing to obtain a First Aid and CPR qualification
* Currently holds, or willing to obtain a current Police Check
* A current driver's license & reliable vehicle - Work cars may be available
* Hold valid Australian Work Rights - Unfortunately we are not currently able to offer sponsorship
