Base pay range
$72,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
* Support in-house and external litigation counsel on general litigation matters, pre-litigation disputes, and related matters.
* Support attorneys with management of discovery, including assisting with interviews, managing document collection, initial review, and working with outside counsel and e-discovery teams for processing and production.
* Manage legal hold process utilizing legal hold software.
* Manage subpoena response and document production, including collection, initial review, redaction, and bates-stamping.
* Maintain matter management software to organize case files, track matter deadlines, update dockets, and keep litigation calendar.
* Produce and maintain reporting metrics on litigation and pre-litigation matters.
* Prepare and file proof of claims as creditor in bankruptcy proceedings.
* Assist in implementing and optimizing internal processes, documents, and forms to standardize practices and otherwise promote efficiency.
* Assist Litigation Counsel and outside counsel in preparation for arbitrations, mediations, hearing, and trials
* Support attorneys in the maintenance of immigration files, including collection of documentation for Public Access Files and other immigration support
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
* 3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in-house or law firm support of corporate clients
* Experience with document review and production
* Basic understanding of rules concerning responding to discovery requests generated as part of litigations (subpoenas and document demands)
* Paralegal certificate preferred
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
