Main Duties
As a highly skilled and autonomous nurse practitioner or paramedic practitioner, you will work within a dynamic team to deliver exceptional care to patients presenting with minor illnesses and injuries.
You will perform comprehensive assessments, interpret results, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Your expertise will also extend to discharging patients or referring them to appropriate pathways when necessary.
The role requires strong clinical leadership skills, enabling you to take charge of shifts and manage service provision in the absence of the Clinical Nurse Manager/Team Leader. You will also be responsible for supporting the development of your colleagues to ensure high-quality service delivery.
A flexible approach is essential, as you may be required to work across various shift patterns and locations within our Urgent Treatment Centres/Walk-in Centres.

Key Responsibilities
You will act as a nurse/paramedic practitioner and shift lead, promoting a high-quality service through a multi-skilled team approach. This will involve maintaining effective multidisciplinary team working, coordinating daily operations, and providing clinical leadership to drive excellence in patient care.
You will also be responsible for managing shift safety, reporting incidents, and ensuring high standards of evidence-based care. Additionally, you will perform autonomous assessments, treat patients, and refer them to appropriate pathways when necessary.
Your expertise will include utilizing clinical skills such as x-ray, wound management, suturing, and diagnostic procedures, as well as administering medications as trained. You will also support administrative policies, ensure effective use of resources, and maintain IT competency with electronic record systems.

Salary: £46,148 to £52,809 per annum (pro rata)
