Hospitality Workers - Kitchen Hand & Cook at Apollo Care Alliance (Tenterfield Care Centre). We are hiring passionate and dedicated Cooks and Kitchen Hands to join our vibrant hospitality team to deliver high-quality, home-style meals that support the health and wellbeing of older Australians in our care.
Responsibilities
Cook: Prepare and serve nutritious, tasty meals aligned with dietary requirements and residents' preferences.
Participate in seasonal menu planning and discussions.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP and IDDSI).
Create a homely dining experience that enhances quality of life.
Collaborate with residents and staff to support personal choice and dignity.
Kitchen Hand: Assist in meal preparation and plating according to dietary needs.
Support a respectful, high-quality dining experience for residents.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food hygiene standards.
Ensure correct utensils and portions for each resident.
Contribute to a safe, welcoming environment with every service.
What We're Looking For
No formal qualifications required – we provide training.
Previous kitchen or hospitality experience (desirable but not essential).
A passion for food, respect for the elderly, and commitment to quality service.
Police Check (required prior to employment).

What You Will Bring
Experience in a similar role (preferred but not essential).
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in Aged Care highly desirable but not essential.
Current NDIS Check (or willingness to obtain).
Understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes is helpful but not essential.
