Assist in infrastructure projects, collaborating with team members and working under the guidance of senior engineers to implement basic solutions. Work alongside Platform Engineers to learn and support the deployment and management of hybrid cloud platform infrastructure. Explore and apply basic Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to help ensure the availability of network, server, and other infrastructure services. Support system performance monitoring using basic tools, reporting on issues related to latency or system health. Participate in backup and recovery activities under the direction of the team. Assist in automating simple, repetitive tasks using modern tools (e.g., Ansible or Terraform) to improve operational efficiency. Requirements
Preferably at least 1.5 years of relevant experience in system engineering or similar fields. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure (or other cloud platforms) through coursework, internships, or personal projects. Exposure to hybrid cloud environments or infrastructure management, even at a beginner level (e.g., through academic projects or internships). Basic experience or willingness to learn infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform). Awareness of compliance and security concepts (e.g., basic understanding of data protection or security best practices). Foundational knowledge of Windows Server environments (Wintel) or Linux systems, gained through study or limited work experience. Interest in obtaining relevant industry certifications (e.g., Azure Fundamentals) is a plus. Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., routing, DNS, VPN) or willingness to learn. Familiarity with one or more of the following tools is a plus: MS SQL Server, Linux, FortiGate, NGINX, Splunk, Octopus, Azure DevOps, or Jira.
