This could be the perfect opportunity for you!About the opportunityBrisbane Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Administration Officer who will be focused on Billings, Accounts Payable and supporting the processing of Elective Surgery for Public Patients, to join our team on a full-time basis.Previous demonstrated experience as a Billings Clerk/Patients Accounts Clerk will be key for success in this role.The Admin Officer has the responsibility of ensuring the efficient and effective coordination of the billing and debt collection functions of the hospitals.
You will liaise and communicate directly with patients, health funds, hospitals' administration and hospitals' management regarding patient account enquiries.About usBrisbane Private is a 181 bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 17 operating theatres conveniently located above the Roma Street Parklands.
Specialties include neurosurgery, orthopaedics, spinal, plastics, urology, ENT, Rehabilitation and general surgery and delivery of Brisbane's leading private drug and alcohol programs from Damascus Health Services.Reporting to the Front Office Administration Manager, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Field patient billing enquiries and provide resolutionAssisting with patient refundsBanking and Debtor ManagementMaintain extensive knowledge of Health Fund contractsAccurate and timely billing of Health Fund and Third-Party invoicesProvide support to administration teamReview uninsured patient chargesLiaise with various stakeholders including patients, Medicare, health funds etc.Key Selection Criteria:Sound knowledge of Patient Management System i.e.
