Are you passionate about providing high-quality care and making a difference in the lives of others? We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Worker (Residential) to join our team and provide direct client services to residents of our Residential Care Home.
Responsibilities
* Bed making
* Bathing, showering, personal hygiene and grooming
* Maintenance of mobility/dexterity
* Distribution of clean laundry/personal attire
* Cleaning of equipment, aids and utensils in work area and keeping the client environment neat and clean
* Transportation of clients
* Assist with self‐administration of medication on medical authority
* Assist with the provision of routine treatments and procedures
Qualifications
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to relate to people from different cultures, backgrounds and circumstances
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team
* Empathy and commitment to maintaining resident confidentiality
* Ability to meet deadlines and timeframes
* Experience in exercising your own judgment and initiative in the day‐to‐day execution of a position
