About the program:
LMA has entered into an arrangement with BAE, Saab and CoA (MIWS) for the execution of all Combat System Integration work related to the Aegis Surface Combatant fleet.
The agreement, called the Combat Systems Integration – Integrated Project Team (CSI-IPT) Collaboration Agreement or CCA forms a collaborative enterprise organisation to execute scopes of work across Hobart Class Destroyer (SEA4000 Phase 6 and other related Destroyer Capability Enhancement (DCE) upgrades) and the Hunter Class Frigates (HCFs - SEA5000 Phase 1). The CSI-IPT evolves the current independently executing programs such as SEA4000 Phase 6 and SEA5000 Phase 1 under an umbrella enterprise organisation formed as a program of programs.
Your responsibilities will include:
We are seeking a Combat Systems Deputy Waterfront Operations Lead to support delivery of the DDG Upgrade under the Destroy Capability Enhancement (DCE) Program.
Working closely with the Waterfront Operations Lead, this role operates in a high-complexity production environment and is responsible for driving outcomes across Combat Systems teams supporting shipyard activities.
This position plays a key role in ensuring Combat Systems integration, installation, testing and production activities remain aligned to schedule, quality and safety requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
* Partner with the Waterfront Operations Lead to manage and coordinate Combat Systems activities supporting the DDG Upgrade
* Oversee Combat Systems support to the Platform Installer across all critical waterfront support functions.
* Engage with the Waterfront Delivery Team and Naval Construction Branch to resolve issues and maintain delivery alignment
* Provide clear guidance on milestones, hold points and shipyard schedules
* Support decision-making on operational methods and procedures to ensure program outcomes are achieved
* Lead or support high-priority improvement initiatives across Production and Test activities
* Mentor team leads and contribute to capability growth within the CSI-IPT
About you:
You are an experienced Combat Systems professional with strong knowledge of naval integration and production environments. You are confident working across multiple stakeholders and can support complex delivery activities within a shipyard setting
Skills and experience:
* Experience within a surface combatant sustainment or SPO environment
* Strong experience in installation, integration, test and evaluation of Combat Systems on Naval or complex military platforms
* Demonstrated ability to drive outcomes in complex engineering environments
* Experience leading or guiding engineering or technical teams
* Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
* Experience or knowledge in one or more Combat System warfare domains (AAW, ASW, ASuW) is highly desirable
