We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Intensivist to join our team at the Intensive Care Unit, Bundaberg Hospital.
About the Role
* Provide specialist intensive care medical services in the Intensive Care Unit, ensuring the highest standard of patient care and delivering efficient and effective clinical services.
* Assist the Clinical Director (Intensive Care) and Executive Director in ensuring clinical services meet the required standards.
* Supervise and educate trainees and other medical staff, including interns, junior medical officers, and undergraduate medical students.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Demonstrated ability to competently work as an expert staff specialist/senior medical officer in intensive care medicine.
* Demonstrated expert clinical knowledge and skills, specifically in intensive care medicine.
* Solid understanding of clinical judgement and decision-making skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and complete medical records.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
* A commitment to continuing professional education and development, including maintenance of personal knowledge and skills.
* A willingness to teach others, including interns, junior medical officers, and undergraduate medical students.
* The ability to maintain Scope of Clinical Practice (SoCP) within the CSCF for the facilities in which clinical work is to be undertaken.
