Job Overview
The position of Heavy Lift Operations Coordinator is integral to the success of our Project.
Working closely with the Superintendent - Crane & Rigging and Package Managers, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of Heavy Lift operations.
You will be responsible for liaising with procurement personnel, reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and reports, as well as supervising structural, mechanical, and piping installation activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Liaise with internal teams and subcontractors to coordinate logistics and resource allocation.
* Read and interpret design documents, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
* Supervise and coordinate workforce performance, providing coaching and support to ensure productivity and quality outcomes.
* Evaluate and implement safety, quality, and environmental standards, conducting regular inspections to verify compliance.
* Lead daily pre-start meetings and toolbox talks to maintain team engagement and safety focus.
* Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve construction challenges and maintain project momentum.
Requirements
* Significant experience in heavy lift operations and project coordination on Major Projects.
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage performance effectively.
* Strong understanding of SMP construction methodologies and industry best practices.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a high-pressure, schedule-driven environment.
* Competency in using construction management software and Microsoft Office suite.
