Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mount Isa, QLD, for a General Manager. The General Manager will oversee daily operations, manage resources, and ensure the company meets its strategic goals. The General Manager directly reports to the board and is accountable for all operational requirements for operating the business in line with the board directions.
Responsibilities include leading and mentoring the team, driving business growth, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring quality standards. The role will also involve financial planning, budget management, and identifying opportunities for operational improvements and innoation.
Qualifications
Leadership and management experience, including the ability to guide and develop team members
Knowledge of engineering practices, maintenance management, and manufacturing standards
Business development, client relationship management, and strategic planning skills
Financial acumen including budget preparation, cost management, and analyzing financial reports
Problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Experience in project management or operations management within an engineering or industrial environment
Understanding of safety and compliance in engineering practices
Experience at a senior level in a related field is preferred
The role will suit an organised individual and offers the option of residential in Mount Isa or FIFO options are available to the right candidate.
