**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a seasoned Payroll Manager to oversee the payroll function for our Australasian Region. This role involves managing the processing of all manual and automated payments, supervising payroll officers, and ensuring accurate pay-related inter-company recharges.
About the Role:
* Manage the payroll function for over 1,300 employees across different entities and locations in Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea.
* Supervise and assist payroll officers with all aspects of their role.
* Process pay-related journals and manage clearing accounts.
* Evaluate and implement payroll processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
* Ensure compliance with Australian and Pacific IR, payroll, and Workers Compensation/OH&S legislative requirements.
* Maintain high-level computer literacy and proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft office products.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage payroll processing, including salary, wages, and benefits.
2. Supervise payroll officers, providing guidance and support as needed.
3. Review and approve payroll transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
4. Analyze and resolve payroll-related issues, escalating complex problems to senior management if necessary.
5. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with HR, finance, and other stakeholders.
