The Team: North Tasmanian Pathology Services (NTPS) provides Pathology services to Launceston General Hospital and the Northern regions of Tasmania. We are the only public pathology service operating in North Tasmania. NTPS aims to deliver a high quality service to general practitioners, medical specialists, and private hospitals, providing patients with no out-of-pocket expenses for Medicare eligible tests. Details of Appointment This is a permanent, full-time, day-shift position working 76 hours per fortnight, starting as soon as possible. Hours are negotiable with the successful applicant. Note that this selection process may be used to fill similar vacancies for up to twelve months from the date of advertisement. Salary The salary ranges from $216,300 to $310,389 per annum (plus 11.5% superannuation and salary packaging options) for Specialist Medical Practitioner Levels 1-3. Access to the higher salary range depends on meeting specific criteria outlined in the Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award. Additional allowances include a fully maintained private plated motor vehicle or a $28,389 allowance, a Continuing Professional Development Allowance of $16,480, relocation support up to $15,000, participation in private practice schemes, salary packaging benefits, and a Fitness Passport for you and your family. Eligibility Applicants must: Hold Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty. Maintain current registration/licences throughout employment and notify the employer of any changes. Preferred experience includes Cytopathology and Post Mortem procedures. Pre-employment checks include conviction and identification checks, and disciplinary history. Note: Graduates from RCPA awaiting final exam results are encouraged to apply.
