About the role

This is a hybrid role: client visits in the community or via telehealth, with report writing that can be completed from home.

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support Plans for clients across age ranges (children, teens, adults) under their NDIS plans.

You'll conduct assessments, design strategies, monitor progress and revisit and adapt plans as needed.

You'll work both remotely and in community settings, depending on the needs of clients.

We are looking for Behaviour Support Practitioners of all experience and suitability levels.

Whether you are just starting your Behaviour Support career or have suitability levels Core, Proficient or Advanced, we want to hear from you!

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work or a related field.

Support Workers with Mental Health experience encouraged to apply.

All other Allied Health backgrounds also welcome to apply.

- NDIS Practitioner ID or willingness to obtain one
- Report writing experience
- Strong understanding of evidence-based behaviour support approaches
- Driver's licence and willingness to travel locally as required
- Genuine passion for working in the disability sector

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct behaviour assessment: gather history, triggers, responses, sensory needs, communication preferences, etc.
- Analyse behaviour data and collaborate with clients, families, or support networks to understand patterns and needs.
- Design and develop personalised Positive Behaviour Support Plans, including proactive strategies and harm-minimisation where needed.
- Monitor, review, and adjust plans in response to progress or changing circumstances.
- Ensure strict compliance with NDIS regulations, especially for any restrictive practices.
- Record keeping, report writing, administrative tasks (tracking outcomes, progress notes)
