Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Communications Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our communications department, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Manager, Communications, in communicating the message of the Archbishop and the Archdiocese of Perth.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in communications, public relations, or journalism, with a minimum of five years' experience in a similar role. They will be responsible for providing advice and direct support to stakeholders across parishes, agencies, offices, and organisations of the Archdiocese of Perth on best practice methods with regards to implementing communications strategies and campaigns.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree: In Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism
* Experience: Minimum five years' experience in a similar role
* Skills: Advanced proficiency in the Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite, intermediate skills in social media and newsletter systems like Mailchimp, experience using a DSLR camera for both photography and videography, experience in developing engaging graphic, written, photographic, and video content
* Personal Qualities: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, strong emotional intelligence, ability to work with individuals at varying levels of understanding and experience, self-assured and proactive, positive can-do attitude, service mindset
