Strategic Solution Sales Specialist
Power Quality & Battery Solutions
Mid–Senior Level
Brisbane based | National client scope
Base $100K – $140K + incentives + vehicle allowance
Power On Australia delivers critical power infrastructure into sectors where power failure is not tolerated, such as mining, health, utilities, and heavy industry.
We design, engineer, and deploy UPS, power quality, and DC solutions that protect operations, assets, and safety.
Due to sustained market demand, we are recruiting a commercially capable Strategic Solution Sales Specialist to lead complex solution sales across direct and partner channels.
This is a solution and technical sales role with full lifecycle ownership, from opportunity origination and discovery through to engineered solution development and contract execution.
How This Role Is Different
Power On Australia is not a tender response business.
We engage directly with end users to create opportunities at source, developing engineered solutions aligned to operational risk, infrastructure resilience, and application performance.
You will originate and shape projects, not price competitor designs or respond to commoditised specifications.
Our strategic solution sales specialists operate at the front end of the engagement cycle, influencing system architecture, commercial frameworks, and delivery outcomes.
The Role
You will lead solution and technical sales opportunities across power quality and DC infrastructure, engaging asset owners, consultants, engineers, and contractors.
Key responsibilities include:
* Originate and develop opportunities through direct end user engagement
* Conduct site assessments and technical discovery engagements
* Translate operational risk into engineered power solutions
* Develop system architectures aligned to client applications
* Prepare technical proposals, specifications, and commercial submissions
* Price and structure engineered solutions
* Manage partner and integrator delivery pathways where required
* Negotiate technical scope, delivery frameworks, and commercial terms
* Maintain pipeline visibility across long cycle, high value opportunities
* Work closely with engineering and operations to deliver compliant solutions
Engineering & Delivery Environment
As a QA driven organisation, all work is delivered within recognised standards and compliance frameworks.
Solutions are deployed in accordance with supplier guidelines, technical certifications, and regulatory expectations.
Internally, the culture encourages initiative, innovation, and practical problem-solving.
Technical insight, solution creativity, and value creation are recognised and rewarded.
Required Experience
* Mid to senior level experience in technical sales or solution sales
* Background selling UPS, power quality, battery, or critical power solutions
* Exposure to AC/DC battery or backup power systems
* Experience selling engineered or engineered-to-order solutions
* Capability of managing long sales cycles and complex stakeholders
* Commercial negotiation experience across technical contracts
* Strong proposal and technical documentation capability
* Ability to operate autonomously and manage multiple opportunities
Formal engineering qualifications are not required.
Desirable
* Experience within mining, utilities, oil and gas, or heavy industry
* Exposure to consultant- or EPC-led infrastructure projects
* Electrical trade or technical background
* Experience working via distributors or partner channels
Market Context
Demand for power resilience and battery infrastructure is accelerating across Australia, driven by electrification, grid instability, and operational risk exposure.
This role places you at the centre of that transition, working on infrastructure that protects critical operations.
What We Offer
* Base salary $100K – $140K (experience dependent)
* Performance incentives linked to project outcomes
* Vehicle allowance
* Ownership of technically complex, high-value projects
* Direct engagement with critical infrastructure clients
* Established supplier and engineering partnerships
* Technical and commercial autonomy
* Long-term growth within a specialist power solutions business
Who This Role Suits
This role will suit a strategic solution sales professional who:
* Prefers originating opportunities over tender response work
* Wants influence over solution design and commercial structure
* Is comfortable engaging technical and operational stakeholders
* Values engineered solutions over transactional sales
* Enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges
If you are an experienced strategic solution sales professional ready to lead engineered power infrastructure opportunities, submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining relevant sector and solution experience.
