As Surfacing Manager, You Will Be Responsible For
* Ensuring the safe and effective delivery of surfacing operations.
* Managing project teams and subcontractors on multiple sites.
* Maintaining compliance with legislation, client specifications, and company standards.
* Achieving profitability targets and client satisfaction across contracts.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
* Plan surfacing operations and allocate resources efficiently.
* Develop and maintain a rolling tar programme.
* Ensure project deadlines and client requirements are met.
* Manage labour, plant, and materials in a timely, cost-effective manner.
* Oversee material reconciliations and quality of finished works.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
* Conduct on-site risk assessments and implement necessary control measures.
* Ensure safe site practices and adherence to PPE and equipment standards.
* Carry out site audits and deliver toolbox talks.
* Promote a strong health, safety, and welfare culture on all sites.
Quality & Performance
* Deliver high-quality work to specification and contractual standards.
* Maintain accurate site records and ensure all documentation is complete.
* Monitor and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
Team Collaboration
* Liaise regularly with Contract Managers, Site Supervisors, and Commercial teams.
* Coordinate effectively across departments to meet project objectives.
Essential
Qualifications & Experience
* CSCS Card
* SMSTS Certification
* 3-day First Aid Certificate
Desirable
* Proven experience managing surfacing operations.
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Results-driven and adaptable to changing site conditions.
