Childcare Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our community of childcare providers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to care for children in their own home while enjoying the freedom and autonomy of self-employment.



About the Opportunity

This role allows you to create and run your own Family Day Care service with flexibility to set hours that work for your lifestyle. As a Family Day Care Educator, you will have the chance to develop tailored educational programs focusing on the individual needs and outcomes of the children in your care.



Key Responsibilities

* Setting up a stimulating and safe learning environment each day
* Creating exciting and engaging educational programs and activities for children
* Setting a fee schedule and deciding on the hours you want to work
* Ensuring your service aligns with the National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education



Support and Resources

We will provide you with support and guidance from an experienced and professional team, clear practices and procedures to guide the operation of your business, ready-to-use forms and templates to help you comply with early childhood education requirements, home visits to assess safety and assist you to create an enriching and nurturing space for children, childcare equipment, and access to professional development and training opportunities.

Pre-requisites

To be eligible for this role, you must be a current resident of the municipality, available for a minimum of three week days per week and for 25 hours per week (minimum), hold a minimum Certificate III in Children's Services, a current First Aid and CPR certificate, certifications for the Management of Anaphylaxis and Asthma, a Police record check (issued within the last 6 months), a Current Employee Working with Children Check, and Educators must hold Public Liability/Professional Indemnity Insurance.



Other Information

Please note that Police Record Checks and Working with Children Checks will be required for all people over 18 years living in the home. Applicants must also be willing to undergo a work-based medical and safety check on the home.
