Senior Infrastructure Specialist
As a Senior Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions to our customers. This includes performing on-site delivery and implementation of Red Hat Infrastructure solutions and offerings, gaining understanding of our customers' infrastructures and business needs, and making recommendations appropriate to their environment.
Responsibilities:
* Serve as a trusted adviser for engineers and project managers to deliver and implement the right solutions for our customers.
* Address customer technical, development, and IT issues and needs as a subject matter expert on site.
* Learn new technologies and apply those concepts to customer needs.
* Adapt to changing customer requirements.
* Manage technical problem identification and resolution, support system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of open source solutions.
* Participate in internal initiatives, create consulting white papers, and update the knowledge base.
* Keep stakeholders updated on issues that may affect project or company performance.
* Respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions, and handle sensitive conversations in a professional manner.
* Kick off new projects, guide the implementation team, and monitor the progress of a project.
Requirements:
* 5+ years of experience working with enterprise customers on a range of development and deployment projects.
* Experience with UNIX or Linux database administration and tuning.
* Extensive knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
* Extensive knowledge of other Infrastructure products including Ansible / Ansible Tower, Satellite, authentication services such as IdM/IPA, virtualisation technologies, and Linux Security Practices and tools.
* Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, project management, and planning skills.
* Practical experience with or knowledge of Python, Perl, and/or shell scripting language(s).
* Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification, or willingness to pursue certification within 90 days.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
* Australian Government security clearance.
