SEO Associate (Content)
- Love words? Live for a good pun? Take pride in your ability to spot a misplaced apostrophe from across a crowded room?
- Well, we're on the hunt for a creative, motivated Content Associate to join our small but mighty team of word nerds - and if you said 'yes' to any of the above three questions, you might be just the person we're looking for.
- You'll be helping us create blog posts, website copy and more to support the content and SEO strategies of our clients in beauty, fitness, insurance, and home tech.
- You'll be able to use words to break down complex concepts - like the skin moisture barrier, for example, or how electrolytes work - in plain English, and understand the nuances of resonating with different audiences.
- You'll be able to integrate keywords naturally into writing (none of this: "So, you're looking for Content Associates in Melbourne? Great choice "), and you'll have some understanding of writing for search engines. (Hint: it's all about the user)
- But most of all, you'll be curious to learn, to grow, and to create content that'll defy the sea of slop, engage our readers, and keep our clients happy.

What you'll be up to:

- Creating scroll-stopping content across blogs, webpages, and sometimes other digital formats, too: writing clear, crisp copy that engages and informs.
- Proofreading your own work (and sometimes your teammates') for clarity, tone, grammar, and brand consistency.
- Keeping tabs on trending themes in the industries we write for to generate ideas for new content angles and topics that'll wow our clients.
- Helping the content pipeline flow smoothly - managing multiple pieces at once, smashing volume and quality targets, and relishing the thrill of a last-minute deadline.
- Remaining on top of how your content performs in the open plains of the SERP: spotting what works (and what doesn't) and identifying opportunities to tweak.
- Collaborating in a team (there's no "I" in content, after all) of tight-knit writers and content marketers who'll help you learn and develop as a wordsmith.
- Staying curious - you'll need to be constantly tuned in to the preferences and proclivities of your audience and tapped into emerging content formats.

A bit about you
- A relevant qualification in a writing-related or -adjacent field. (English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or Creative Writing are all good fits.)
- A basic understanding of SEO and content marketing principles. (You don't need to be an expert - but it'll help if you know your way around tools like Google Analytics, or even just know how to spot a keyword in the wild.)
- Some writing work of yours that's been published online. (This doesn't _have _to have been paid work - if you have a lovingly maintained personal blog you'd be happy to share, that's fine too)
- Creativity and a willingness to learn. We're not looking for someone who's writing is pasted straight from ChatGPT, but we are interested in people with a curiosity about AI, and what it means for our industry going forward.

What's in it for you
- The chance to build a writing portfolio you'll be proud of, with published work for brands everyone has head of.
- Mentorship and guidance from experienced content marketers who'll help you grow your skills and confidence.
- Real flexibility to work when and where you're most productive, thanks to our _Be the Best You_ policy - plus a $250 contribution to set up your home office.
- The opportunity to give back with dedicated volunteer leave, and take part in our whole-company event, _One Day for Change_.
- Five weeks of annual leave after two years of service, plus three whole-company Wellness Days each year to switch off and spend however you choose.
- Career development and learning opportunities - including access to our global online Dentsu University - so you can keep building your skills and your career.
- Access to the office Bluetooth speaker (negotiable).
