Job Description
As an Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist, you will work with clients to identify barriers and develop effective plans for maximal work participation.
You will conduct assessments to understand client needs and abilities, design and implement intervention programs to improve functional performance and independence, and liaise with clients, family members, funding bodies, medical practitioners, employers, and stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
* Client Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments to understand client needs and abilities, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for success.
* Intervention Planning: Design and implement individualized intervention programs to improve functional performance and independence, addressing physical, cognitive, and behavioral challenges.
* Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with clients, family members, funding bodies, medical practitioners, employers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and achievement of goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will require:
* Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy, or a related field.
* Registration with AHPRA or ESSA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency or Exercise and Sport Science Australia).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and stakeholders.
