We are a family owned growing fire protection company seeking an experienced Senior / Lead Dry Fire Technician to join our expanding team. This role suits a highly skilled, self-sufficient technician with strong fault-finding ability, system programming experience, and leadership capability, or someone ready to step into a lead role.
Key Responsibilities
* Fault finding, diagnosing and rectifying dry fire system faults
* Servicing and maintenance in accordance with AS 1851
* Installation, upgrading, replacement and repair of:
* Fire Detection Control & Indicating Equipment (FDCIE)
* Occupant Warning Systems (OWS)
* Emergency Warning & Intercommunication Systems (EWIS)
* Cabling and commissioning of new installations
* Upgrading and bringing existing systems into compliance with AS 1670
* Programming, configuration and modification of fire systems including but not limited to Ampac, Fusion, Notifier and Simplex systems.
* Providing technical support, mentoring and on-site leadership to technicians
* Maintaining high standards of compliance, safety and workmanship
* Client communication and practical problem solving on site
About You
* Proven experience as a Dry Fire Technician (senior or lead level preferred)
* Strong working knowledge of AS 1670 and AS 1851
* Demonstrated ability to program, configure and fault-find fire systems
* Experienced with new installs, upgrades and compliance rectification
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Leadership capability with a positive, team-focused attitude
* Able to work autonomously and manage workloads efficiently
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Current driver's licence (essential)
Qualifications & Training
* Certificate II and/or Certificate III in Fire Protection (or equivalent experience)
* Open Cabling Licence
* EAHL and/or 240V Electrical Licence (preferred but not essential)
* Manufacturer programming accreditation (Ampac, Notifier, Simplex, etc.) highly regarded
