The Fellowship 
Applications are open for RANZCR accredited radiologists for a 6 or 12-month Combined Fellowship in Women’s Imaging & Breast Imaging with Lumus Imaging, starting in February 2026. This position will be based at Lumus Imaging Tweed Heads South & Varsity Lakes, with additional rotation opportunities at The Tweed Valley Hospital. Fellows will work in a collaborative environment alongside subspecialty-trained radiologists with a strong focus on breast and female pelvic imaging. 
The Lumus Imaging Breast & Women’s Imaging Fellowship is designed to provide radiologists with comprehensive training in breast imaging and intervention, as well as expertise in female pelvic imaging. Fellows will be encouraged to participate in current research programs or develop original investigations. 
Responsibilities and Training 
- Breast Imaging component includes: 
- Conventional ultrasound 
- Mammography 
- Contrast-enhanced mammography 
- Fellows will gain substantial experience in high-volume image-guided procedures such as: 
- Ultrasound-guided biopsies 
- Tomosynthesis-guided biopsies 
- Cini-guided biopsies 
- MRI-guided procedures 
This is a unique chance to be mentored by radiologists from world-class quaternary centres. The fellowship includes: 
- One full day per week of protected academic time 
- Requirement to complete and submit an academic paper 
- Attendance at multidisciplinary meetings 
- No on-call commitment 
This role is ideal for newly qualified radiologists with a passion for breast and women’s imaging, who are looking to build a strong foundation in private and hospital-based practice. 
Qualifications and Eligibility 
- Passed the FRANZCR Part II exams 
- APHRA registration 
- Unrestricted Australian working rights
